Make a mention about an ex? “my ex girlfriend took me to this restaurant once and I loved it”

Humorously, I did mention an ex to her—but as “one of my exes”. I was also wearing a rainbow wristband that I wear to show allyship and subsequently asked her whether there was a reason that her awesome dude friend was single.

I’m trying to remember a single thing I did that might suggest I like the ladies other than making eye contact with her a few times, and I’m not coming up with anything.
