You’d think that when we can actually see that the people using the phones are women of colour, Apple would find appropriate hand models. And lest you think they were trying to save money by only shooting the hand movements once and overlaying them on both phones, as I suspected, they weren’t—Apple (or the advertising agency working for them) shot each phone independently, albeit using the same hand model.
How much extra would it have cost them to get this little detail right?
