TSA Breast Milk Screening Harassment Updated
A woman was held for 45 minutes and forced to miss her flight because she wanted to take breast milk with her on a flight in order to feed her child. She requested an alternate screening for the breast milk—one mandated by federal law—and was refused it. She was provided with two options: feed her child irradiated breast milk, thanks to a TSA X-ray machine, or throw the milk out entirely.
