Fleeting moments of internet interest.

The upcoming Touchbook by Always Innovating. Using an ARM (but supposedly desktop-class) processor, 8GB of internal storage (in the form of a replaceable SD card), wifi, Bluetooth, a ‘pressure-sensitive’ touchscreen, and a 3D accelerometer, Always Innovating hopes to deliver a Linux-based device able to perform basic netbook capabilities, plus run “at least a couple” iPhone apps and games, support Flash, and sync music and video with iTunes.

The Touchbook’s physical design is by Fred Bould of Bould Design, who has apparently worked with Apple in some capacity. I’ll be very curious to see if Always Innovating succeeds in creating a usable device, particularly if they follow through on their promises of supporting Google Android and Windows CE, among other OSes.
